Jyotsna brings extensive expertise in India’s foreign policy and strategic communications. She has consulted for India's Ministry of External Affairs and Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and has been associated with think tanks in the UK, US, and India.

Hanumanth Ramesh

Founding Advisor

A seasoned investigation and intelligence professional, Hanumanth played an active role in setting up Closed Door. Previously, he spearheaded capacity-building and analytical initiatives in combating organised crime and terrorism, during tenures at INTERPOL, Deloitte, the International Criminal Court.

Dharminder Singh Kaleka

Advisor – Strategy & External Relations

Dharminder Singh Kaleka is a lawyer and policy strategist working at the intersection of political advisory, narrative architecture, and institutional design. He specialises in South Asian geopolitics, economic transition, and digitally enabled public systems. A co-founder of MovDek Politico LLP, he has advised some of the highest political stakeholders of India, and multilateral-facing institutions on strategy, language, and high-impact reform. He holds a Master’s in Public Policy and Development from the London School of Economics.

Milia Purppura

Milia Purppura is a researcher specializing in Indo-Pacific affairs, UK foreign policy, and the global influence of the Chinese Communist Party. She brings extensive experience in policy advising, having served as Senior Researcher for a Member of Parliament on the UK House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee. She is a PhD candidate at SOAS University of London, researching contemporary UK-PRC relations. She holds an MPhil in World History from the University of Cambridge and an MA with Honours in History and Politics from the University of Glasgow.

Pekki Purppura

Pekki specializes in psychological analysis of policies, with expertise in the Nordic countries and the Indo-Pacific. He brings extensive professional experience across Europe and Asia, particularly in business consulting, cross-country recruitment for specialist roles, procurement, and clinical psychology settings.

Utsav Mukherjee

An attorney based in New Delhi, Utsav's practice areas are intellectual property, technology and commercial law. He also consults on intellectual property and technology policy, in domains such as anti-counterfeiting, intermediary liability, privacy, fintech & competition law.
